Once I send my application and payment,
will I get anything back to confirm I have insurance?
- Upon enrollment, you will be sent an insurance ID card,
policy booklet, and claim forms. These insurance materials
will be mailed to your U.S. address when applicable. If
you enroll online, your materials will be e-mailed to the
address indicated on the application.
How long does it take for you to process
my insurance application?
- Once we receive your completed application and payment,
you should receive the insurance materials within one week.
When can my insurance begin?
- Applications for outbound U.S. students should be received
prior to their departure, and will be effective the day
they depart from the U.S. If the application is not received
before this time, coverage will begin upon receipt of the
application in our office. Inbound foreign students to the
U.S. have 31 days from their arrival to apply for the insurance,
at which time coverage will be backdated to their original
departure date from their home country, or else upon receipt
of the application in our office.
What is the fastest way to enroll?
- The fastest way to enroll is online at www.cisi-bolduc.com,
a credit card payment is required. Insurance materials are
e-mailed back to the participant within 24 hours. CISI-Bolduc
encourages Inbound Rotary Exchange participants to contact
their credit card company or bank prior to purchasing the
insuarnce via credit card and advise of the expected charge.
Credit card companies take steps to protect their customers
and my not authorize the premium charge due to a heightened
risk of international credit card fraud. Such security measures
mean that some unusual transactions be denied.
How can I pay for the insurance?
- Insurance paymentis due in full at the time fo enrollment.
- U.S. checks, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, U.S.
money orders, and wire transfers (if necessary) are acceptable.
Foreign checks cannot be processed however international
bank checks drawn from U.S. banks, in U.S. dollars are acceptable.
What are the differences between Plan
A and Plan B?
- The most important difference is the Plan B goes to 100%
payment of usual and customary charges up to the $500,000
USD maximum once the student pays a one-time $100 USD deductible
and 20% of the first $2,500 USD of medical expenses (out
of pocket limited to $600 USD). Plan A goes to 80% payment
of usual and customary charges up to the $500,000 USD maximum
once the student pays a one-time $100 USD deductible. This
means the student and his/her family is responsible for
20% of expenses of to $500,000 USD. We recommend participants
purchase Plan A only if they have a supplemental policy
that will pay the difference.
